About Filterdesign 2004-2016
From 2004 to 2016, I worked as an independent designer under the name Filterdesign. During this period, my practice focused on User-Centered Design and Contextual Inquiry, with a strong emphasis on understanding people’s everyday practices and translating these insights into digital systems and services.
Through Filterdesign, I collaborated with organisations in both public and professional contexts, contributing to projects involving digital tools, websites and software systems. In addition to design work, I supported organisations in developing user-centered design approaches, facilitated UCD workshops and training in design research methods.
This practice formed an important foundation for my current work in: - design research and methodology - co-creation and collaboration - citizen science - biomimicry and more-than-human perspectives
This shift reflects a gradual move from designing artefacts toward designing methods, processes and forms of collaboration across research and design practice.
