Stichting Trans Rescue Foundation helps move at-risk transgender people to safety from places in which being transgender puts them at risk of harm.

While the situation for transgender people in Europe has made great improvements over the decades, the same can not be said for much of the rest of the world. In many countries they face discrimination, life-threatening violence, and abuse on a daily basis, from family, the authorities, and the general public alike. With an estimated that 0.5% of a given population being transgender, the number of people in this situation runs into the many millions worldwide.

Trans Rescue’s mission is to provide at-risk transgender people with the lifeline they need to remedy their situation, in the form of help and support to escape their abusive communities or countries. To this end they continue to help their transgender passengers seek safety within their own countries or asylum in safer countries.
