Over Vanessa Catalano Studio

I work at the intersection of design, research, and education—creating participatory experiences that surface how we understand and engage with knowledge. I design artefacts and experiences that invite people to slow down, look closely, and reflect on the kinds of knowledge that are often present but rarely questioned. From games to spinning wheels at festivals to collaborative data workshops, I use play, color, and storytelling to explore how knowledge circulates—and who gets to shape it.

Through playful, user-centered methodologies, I develop tools and interventions that challenge assumptions and invite collaboration. My work spans UX research, creative facilitation, public installations, and curriculum design, with a strong focus on making knowledge accessible, tangible, and open to reinterpretation. Always grounded in participation and curiosity, I collaborate across disciplines to spark insight, reflection, and action.
