Selfgentleness Academy is for people who are already self-aware, capable, and responsible, but notice that when life gets difficult, they lose access to themselves.

Many have done years of inner work. They understand their patterns. And yet, under stress, pressure, guilt, or conflict, they fall back into pushing, self-criticism, or disconnection.

Selfgentleness is not about fixing yourself or becoming better. It is the practice of staying in relationship with yourself, especially when things are hard.

At Selfgentleness Academy, we work with simple, psychologically informed practices that help you tune in, respond to your needs with clarity, and stay gentle without becoming passive.

This work was founded by Dr. Femke E. Bakker, political psychologist and meditation teacher, and is grounded, practical, and non-manipulative. It respects autonomy, emotional maturity, and complexity.

Selfgentleness is not a personality trait. It’s a practice, one you can return to again and again.
