Over Lunas Life

As a child I always wanted to work with animals but when I did, I noticed the pain, involved. I did temporary work as a Zoo-keeper and I couldn't believe the way we treated animals. Even if we sayed, we cared for them.

Animals stay animals and we, humans, stand above them. Thus, I couldn't get myself to work with animals. I cared too much. Neither could I work, 'for' them because people keep looking away from all that is happening. They tell themselves whatever validates what is happening right now.

In all honesty, I believe that any way we still treat animals, is a form of torture because us humans tend to take care while 'in control'. Animals barely have a say in this. We take care for them and say we know what is best while thinking and believing, they cannot decide for themselves.

Now that I am older and am better in putting it into words (and also there is more proof with psychology tests and communication systems / examples) I can put it very simple: Animals communicate with each other so is us unable to communicate with them, not a communication / language barrier?

I look differently at what I see in animals and see their characters, personalities, intelligence. I can hear their voice, what they say and if you don't see it yet, open the discussion and I will gladly, in a friendly matter, try to convince you otherwise.

Because the way how I look at it, animals are the aliens on Earth which we refuse to understand because we tell ourselves, we are 'better' and more intelligent. I think this is a way of rationalizing for yourself to avoid all the pain that comes with accepting, we arn't really that much different and thus, we should really change our ways with nature.

We just speak a different language, that's all and that is what I want to show trough this page.

Luna's Life is the name of my just-starting company and Luna is my parrot. I was way more naive when I bought her and she opened any door possible and is still doing so.
