Over Building for Tim

"Building for Tim"​ is an initiative for 6 year old Tim. Tim has suffered brain damage right before my birth, which can’t be healed. Tim lives in The Netherlands, together with his parents Hein and Jessica, his 3 years old sister and 10 months old brother. To keep Tim at continue living at home, Hein and Jessica have converted the indoor garage into an adjusted sleeping room and bathroom, over the past two years. In addition, they have made their garden wheelchair-friendly. Tim can explore their garden more easily. This renovation has mainly been realized through our crowdfunding campaign. Many people and companies helped, donated or sponsored.

Little children grow up. Children in a wheelchair grow up as well. Hein and Jessica their car will not fit any longer. Tim is getting too heavy. In addition, his wheelchair and supporting tools are getting too big and will not fit in the car. To allow Tim joining the rest of his family, a modified passenger van with a wheelchair elevator is necessary.

Adjustments to the van are paid by the municipality. However, the purchase of the bus is for their own account. A minimum of 40,000 euros is required.

With this crowdfunding, we hope for your support, because we cannot do it alone. Also starting an action to pay extra attention to this project would be fantastic.
