We all dream of a world in which we have respect and care for our environment and each other. A world in which everyone's opinions are valued and we support each other.

In our Sociocratic School ‘De Vrije Ruimte’ this is daily reality. De Vrije Ruimte is a private school. The government does not support this method of education. Because of that, the highly motivated staff and teachers at this school hardly receive a full salary. For that reason, parents of the school started an initiative to change that. This initiative is called ‘Friends of De Vrije Ruimte’. Friends wants to give the school a better financial base through sponsorship. A sponsor receives a lot in return in the form of being able to attend workshops, films, lectures, symposia, etc.

We live in changing times. Our current school system is reaching their own limits. But there is a solution such as De Vrije Ruimte proves.

Children obtain their diplomas, study, find work that fits their passion and interest. They get the best out of themselves, because they could develop this from an early age on. Learning in freedom is what it’s called. And it is a great joy to see how children flourish, are themselves, are independent, are motivated, who care about each other and where no external pressure is put upon them. They are curious, creative, loving.

The teachers of the school are entitled to have a better salary. Money is also needed for better educational materials. We greatly admire the supervisors of our children, who are 100% committed to the children. We invite everyone to support this initiative by becoming a donor.
