Asia Orlando is an author and illustrator based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Asia creates immersive, colorful worlds and characters. Her artwork is rich in detail and vibrant color. Every illustration is meant to tell a story, most of her work inspired by nature, animals, and plants. The characters she creates are placed in carefully crafted scenery that establishes a unique mood, transmitting emotion and a whimsical atmosphere.

Creator of Mugo's Universe, an original illustrated IP spanning books, animations, products, and new media. The first book, The Ritual of Light, was published in October 2025. The universe is still growing.

Over a career of 15+ books, Asia has worked with Disney, National Geographic, Penguin Random House, DK, Hachette, and Bayard.

In 2020, Asia founded Our Planet Week (#OurPlanetWeek), an annual global illustration movement created to engage artists from around the world in communicating environmental awareness through art. Seven editions. 10,000+ trees planted.

She also runs The Creative Draft, a newsletter on the creative life with 29,000 subscribers.
