I see life as a playground to learn, to grow. And more and more I feel the wise words “What does life wants from you” instead of “What do you want from life”. After a soccer career and a successful career as founder of creative agency SMMART, where I did campaigns for int. corporations and artists, I felt the urge to use my talents for ‘the good’ instead of using it to pursue customers to buy more. I was doing photoshoots with big teams of stylists, make-up artists and models for big brands, and at some point I thought “man, these models don’t even use these products, and today we are doing a shoot where it looks like they are very happy with these products… this is lying! I am contributing to the fakeness of the world, I don’t want to be this guy”.

So from then on, I focussed on projects that were real, starting with Orange Babies. A charity organization helping mothers and children in Africa. I made a book called We Are Orange Babies, where I photographed portraits, composed music and wrote poetry. The first press was sold out after a few weeks and sales of prints and exhibitions made almost 200.000 euros for the organization.

After this I realized, when you want to change the world, you first have to look inside yourself. So in 2020, when a big world event happened, I started to look inside, which changed my life drastically. It was also the point where I started working together with filmmaker Marijn Poels. And it was the start of my musical career. From my 12th I was already composing music, but because of bullying, I was not showing it to the world. I used it as a way to channel my feelings and put it in my drawer after composing. From 2020 I am releasing my songs, which counts more than 10M streams today. Life showed it was the right way.
