About Wilhelmietenmuseum
The Wilhelmietenmuseum is located in an historical gate house, which was part of a monestary that was origionally built in the seventeenth century by the religious order of the Wilhelmieten. The order ceased to exist in 1848, after which the bishop of Breda founded the congregation The Brothers of Huijbergen. This congregation still carries on their work and founded the museum in 1977. The histories of both the order of the Wilhelmieten and the congregation of the Brothers of Huijbergen are told at the museum.
