Daniel Jon van Polanen [VANDAN] is an Industrial designer/Interior Architect from New Zealand

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies (Majoring in Interior Architecture) and two Post Graduate Diplomas; one in Industrial Design, and the second in Design Innovation.

As an Industrial designer he has a unique design aesthetic with a strong interest in materiality and proportion. He designs and creates objects that showcase the materials they are made from, recycling disused materials and combining them into new and innovative designs.

As an Interior architect he enjoys the challenge of working with complicated spaces. He believes there is nothing better than discovering the hidden potential a space has to provide and seeking the best solution to create inspiring rooms that are both functional and visually appealing for the people who use them.

VANDAN balances both functionality and a unique user-experience within all design outputs.
