OUR CHOCOLATE Van Velze’s produce a range of luxury handmade artisan chocolates, using only single origin chocolate from a unique blend of criollo and trinitario cocoa beans. These beans are the rarest and finest cocoa beans in the world. which ensures we deliver a taste that is completely superior in aroma and taste. For us, not only is it important to use the highest quality ingredients, we also want to know where they come from. This includes our local ingredients, but also extends to how and where we source our chocolate. FINE FLAVOUR’ Ahead of launching our business in 2008, sustainability was really important to us, so we decided to only use sustainably grown ‘fine flavour’ Trinitario chocolate from one farm in Costa Rica, which also makes our chocolate 100% traceable. We have been priviledged to visit and meet the farmer and the workers producing our cocoa.

We remain proud that our Costa Rican blend is still from the same farm, but it now also includes trinitario cocoa beans from neighbouring farms, and since 2020 we have added 2 new single origins from 65% Peru and Venezuela, to keep up with the ever growing demand of fine flavour chocolate.
