About UniVenture

Univenture is the corporate venture firm of Maastricht University. UniVenture invests in spin offs from Maastricht University (UM) and MUMC+ (Maastricht University Medical Centre). Founded in 1992, the primary goal of Univenture is to support the development and implementation of marketable UM/MUMC+ knowledge and Intellectual Property. Thus far Univenture has invested in over 60 companies. Shares in a company are typically sold to a commercial party after 5-7 years. We currently hold equity in over 40 spin-off companies from Maastricht University and Maastricht University Medical Center.
