About UICCS - Utrecht Institute for Crisis and Conflict Simulation

UICCS is a student-led institute which offers interactive learning experiences through crisis simulations (1) and provides innovative insights into conflict through data analysis and academic reports (2). It offers an opportunity for students to develop personal skills through practical experience (3).

1. We provide third parties with a conflict simulation experience through games with contemporary, realistic scenarios to be played out. This provides an alternative approach to understanding conflict.

2. We provide reports based on research, data-analysis and the findings from conducted simulations, with the aim to fill the gap between the current body of academic research and the demand of real-world actors.

3. We offer an opportunity for students to produce knowledge, to develop personal skills through practical experiences, and we connect students with a valuable network of ambitious peers, professionals, academics and alumni.
