About UCSA Politics Committee

University College is the International Honors College of the University of Utrecht (www.ucu.uu.nl) where over 700 handpicked students, from all corners of the world are studying for their bachelor of arts or of science. UCU is proud to offer its students the most comprehensive and interlinking curriculum of all Continental universities, a fact which is attested to by the UCU alumni who can be found all over the world, pursuing PhD’s, active in political parties, performing research for international institutions, and in the world of corporate businesses. It is the Politics Committee’s mission to contribute to UCU’s liberal arts education by creating a new generation of aware and active individuals. It is with this goal in mind that we invite guest speakers to first share with us their expertise and experiences, and then to try and devise solutions to contemporary issues. In past years, we have had the honor of sharing these educational and innovative evenings with distinguished guests such as Ms. Greta Duisenberg, the British Ambassador, Mrs. Marianne Thieme, the Ambassador of Israel, Maarten van Rossem and Minister Ronald Plasterk.
