About TranScreen

The TranScreen Film Festival is a filmfestival with both a cultural and an informative focus on transgenders and their friends, family and allies. The festival is the successor of the NTGF (Nederlands Transgender Film Festival) Amsterdam and the third edition is in spring 2015. The festival has the aim to show film productions from the entire globe that are of fine quality and/or challenging, specifically dealing with gender diversity, thus making the audience more aware of transgenders and their pluriformity. Which will push their visibility and enhance both recognition as well as acceptance of transgenders. Apart from that this festival is also a great way for community building. The aim here is to stimulate the empowerment of transgenders of all ages, and any gender whatsoever!
