Trans In Eigen Hand en andere stakeholders (Trans United EU ea) pleiten voor genderbevestigende zorg op basis van informed consent. Hierbij ligt het initiatief meer bij de zorgvrager en is de zorg patiëntgericht. Zo kan bijvoorbeeld endocrinologische zorg via de huisarts gestart worden.
