About TMAP and the World of Quality Engineering

What is quality? What is testing? And how can we make stakeholders and team members care? These may be the basic questions you have when wondering about a methodical approach for quality engineering of Information Technology (IT) systems. TMAP was created in 1995 and back then mainly contained a process description for testing. Over the years, TMAP has evolved from process-driven, business-driven and human-driven to a body of knowledge with which quality assurance & testing activities can be integrated in all IT delivery models. The body of knowledge contains a wide range of approaches, good practices, techniques and tools for organizing and performing of activities related to quality assurance and testing of IT systems. The building blocks of TMAP give you all the guidance you need to meet the testing and quality challenges in your specific information technology environment. TMAP: Quality engineering for high performance IT-delivery certification scheme was developed by Sogeti and consists of three modules. The certification scheme is offer in cooperation with world-wide operating exam provider iSQI.
