THEN is working with supermarket chains and caterers to roll out a standardised system for codifying the nutritional content of all foods, both in terms of macronutrients and micronutrients. Once this is complete, it will be possible to roll-out a suite of computer applications that will enable users to measure and balance their energy intake and energy consumption accurately, as well as enabling them to ensure that they are consuming adequate supplies of fluids, vitamins and minerals.
