The Greener Bag, your number one source for 100% certified compostable bags, is dedicated to providing only the very best bio-degradable bags, paying attention to sustainability, quality and resistance. We are also focused on keeping production within Europe to help reduce transportation emissions and rebuild the local economy due to the Corona-crisis.

The Greener Bag was founded by two friends who were dissatisfied with the state of the market for bio-degradable bags in the Netherlands as more and more bags of inferior quality were being sourced from Asia. Italy, where the use of disposable plastic bags has been banned since 2011, was the natural choice for The Greener Bag to look for factories that could produce the consistent quality needed. These factories already have over nine years of experience producing compostable bags.

The Greener Bag hopes that by providing good quality and great service, the use and acceptance of certified compostable bags will be sped up so less toxic plastic bags will end up in the environment. Together for a better future for the generations to come.
