In the US, 500 million straws are used per day, that is a staggering 175 BILLION per year. One can only imagine how much that is in Europe. Many of those plastic straws end up in our oceans, polluting the water and harming sea life. If we don’t act now, by 2050 plastics in the ocean will outweigh the fish. One small change can have a big impact: #stopsucking on plastic straws and use alternatives, such as bamboo.

Here at The Bamboo Straw Company we decided to act against this complete waste of nature. Our mission, to educate people and to ban plastic straws. There are so many good alternative, ranging from steel, paper and of course bamboo straws. The benefits of using a bamboo straw is that they are re-usable and it is a nature grown product, so less waste for the production cycle.
