For over 25 years shipping company Oosterschelde is well known when it comes to sailing trips, events and day trips under sail. A combination of good company and sailing on a beautiful ship; sail with us and discover the most gorgeous places all over the world.

The threemasted topsail schooner OOSTERSCHELDE is the last original Dutch threemaster. Built in 1917 for the international trade and fully restored in 1992. Due to her gracious lines, her impressive rigging and a perfect restoration, the ship commands respect. Restored in its former glory, the OOSTERSCHELDE sails across the world’s seas and oceans. Her homeport is Rotterdam. Since the restoration the OOSTERSCHELDE made two around-the-world voyages and visited over 50 countries on 5 continents. The ship sailed in tropical areas, but also made several polar expeditions to Spitsbergen, Antarctica and South Georgia.

The HELENA is built in 1875 for sailing the large rivers. She is the oldest, still sailing barge in The Netherlands. The extensive restoration was completed in 2003, and ever since the ship makes day-sails in the waters around Rotterdam.

Both ships are recognized by the Dutch government as monuments with great cultural and historical value. The ships are self-sufficient and financially independent by organizing sailing voyages, events and day trips under sail.
