Synergistic was founded in 2014 with a simple observation: Management theory is a powerful tool. It has been developed, over hundreds of years, through the study of some of the best and worst businesses. And by applying management theory, entrepreneurs build better businesses. But not all managers have studied management. And those that have often forget the basics by the time they have the opportunity to apply the theory. Synergistic Management Development was created to service this niche. We are not consultants: we do not offer advice on how to run a business. Neither are we business guru’s: we do not claim to know all the answers. We are academics: we study what works, in business, and what doesn’t, and we specialize in succinctly communicating our conclusions. As Synergistic, we have combined our knowledge, from a number of fields – such as accounting, management, marketing, and finance – and from a number of perspectives, and have designed a number of courses on management theory, specially aimed at enhancing the capabilities of real-world managers. In a nut-shell therefore, we do not build better businesses. But by bringing the university into the office, and by bringing managers up-to-date with management theory, we train managers to build better businesses.
