At Studio ZZZAP, we’re searching for the heart of being human in a world that never stops shifting beneath our feet. Our work blends digital art with immersive experiences to create a deeper understanding how our humanity is begin redefined through the lense of technology.

We are interested in the moments where technology and human experience don't quite line up — where the seams show, where the algorithm meets the grief, where a headset places you somewhere you could never otherwise stand. Those gaps are where we work. To encounter yourself.

Studio ZZZAP was founded in 2017 and is based in Utrecht. Our productions have premiered at IDFA DocLab, Sheffield DocFest, and have been in competition for the Gouden Kalf at the Netherlands Film Festival.

We are driven by curiosity for technology, humans and glitches in reality.
