About Struvital B.V.
Empowering Farmers for a Sustainable Future
Struvital is an AgTech company dedicated to enabling a robust and sustainable future for agriculture and the people who devote their lives to it.
About Us
Established in 2020, Struvital is a joint initiative between Wijha and Maraxis. Wijha has been serving the agricultural community since 1998 from Hardenberg, while Maraxis has been developing AgTech solutions since 2001.
Our products are designed, developed, and assembled in the Netherlands. The Struvital Dosing System was created in close cooperation with Nedmag and Farmin, leveraging their expertise in emissions reduction and soil improvement.
Together, we combine agricultural and technical excellence with a strong focus on problem-solving and helping our customers pursue their passion for farming.
Healthy Growth Environment
The Struvital Dosing System ensures accurate and regular dosing of MgCl₂ on dairy barn floors. When cows excrete and urinate, struvite formation is promoted, trapping Nitrogen and Phosphorus. This reduces ammonia (NH₃) emissions and produces a valuable slow-release fertiliser that improves soil and crop health. The system enhances barn climate, positively influences crop exchange processes, promotes an efficient nutrient cycle, reduces the need for artificial fertilisers, minimizes toxic gases, and facilitates the reuse of natural minerals and phosphate.
What is Struvite?
Struvite is a phosphate mineral containing both phosphorus and nitrogen, primarily in the form of ammonium (NH₄+). When cows excrete and urinate in the presence of MgCl₂ on the floor, struvite formation is promoted, capturing Nitrogen and Phosphorus for nutrient delivery to plants and reducing ammonia (NH₃) emissions in the barn. The resulting manure is enriched with struvite, a slow-release fertiliser that enhances soil and crop health and improves water quality.
