About Streets of the World bv

In 2009, Dutch photojournalist Jeroen Swolfs set out to visit and photograph street life in every country in the world. Streets of the World is the result of this impressive journey. It is a photography project that does not only impress by its scale, but also by the photographers’ intriguing outlook and his eye for people. With his 195 street photos taken in as many countries, Swolfs wants to show a positive image of the world we live in.

Our exhibitions, books, lectures, educational programmes and prints are a message to all those who want to discover what a street means to society: education, wisdom, youth, experience, happiness, stories, food and so much more. You will not find aesthetics competing with constructions to impress the public. It is raw material, directly from the guts of a global traveler focusing on the essential streets. It's all real. Without streets we would be lost, haunting the world without direction and without points of reference. Without streets there would be no communication, no organisation and no structure.

Now its time to bring back the story of Streets of the World to the people. We are doing so with the Streets of the World Tour. London is one of the most international cities in the world. That is why the Streets of the World project, after its kick off in Dubai (January 20 – April 5 2019), has chosen London as the second stop for its Connecting Humanity - Streets of the World Tour.
