Stichting Vlaardings Songfestival organiseert jaarlijks een grote talentenjacht op het zanggebied. Via enkele voorselecties en halve finales kunnen kandidaten in de finale terecht komen. Tussentijds worden deelnemers via workshops geholpen het beste uit henzelf te halen. In het voorjaar van 2009 vierde het Vlaardings Songfestival haar tweede lustrum.
