About Stichting Transit Oost
Wij zijn Transit Oost en hebben als doel onze unieke collectie te tonen aan publiek en te behouden voor komende generaties. De stichting is ontstaan door een samenwerking van 2 organisaties. Vereniging het GOLS-station (opgericht in 1983) en stichting-HSA (opgericht in 2002), ook wel bekend als Historisch Streekvervoer Achterhoek. Voor beide partijen was huisvesting lange tijd onzeker en vormde dit een bedreiging voor het behoud van beide OV-collecties . Door de handen in een te slaan hebben zij een eigen onderkomen weten te realiseren: De museumwerkplaats.
