WHO WE ARE

THE TRAINING CENTER FOR TRAINEESHIPS AND COURSES WITHIN THE MARITIME SECTOR

The Maritime Training Center Foundation was founded in 2017 by Damen Shipyard because there was a need of sufficient technical specialists in Curaçao. Currently there are several leading companies that provide traineeships and education courses at our training center. SMTC trains people by offering traineeships and development programs to become professionals within the maritime, metallurgical, industrial and logistics sector.

WHAT WE DO

THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL TRAINEESHIPS AND COURSES AT OUR TRAINING CENTER

As an intermediary and educational broker, we provide courses at our training center for professionals within the technical and maritime sector. This includes development programs such as specialist refresher courses or expanding soft skills. Several companies provide traineeships at our training center. We recruit, select and train young people to become technical professionals. The selected trainees are prepared at our training center for a professional career that offers great future prospects. In addition to transferring specialist knowledge, sufficient attention is paid to the personal development of the trainees. This way we provide qualified, motivated and stable staff for several organizations in the maritime and technical sector.
