About Stichting IIP Duurzame ICT - ICT Innovation Platform for Sustainable ICT

The ICT Innovation Platform for Sustainable ICT (in Dutch: Stichting IIP Duurzame ICT) is an open alliance of universities, knowledge institutes, companies and social organizations. It aims to encourage and promote sustainability within and through information and communication technology (ICT). This platform is supported by all the major universities and companies in this innovation and research field, NWO, STW and Agentschap NL. Research areas include energy efficiency, smart grids, recycling, sustainable software, innovative (use of) materials, and (standards for) sustainable (wireless) network infrastructures. The theme-based Strategic Research Agenda 2011- 2015 of Stichting IIP Duurzame ICT - platform for sustainable ICT was presented at the third edition of An Innovative Truth - Conference on Sustainable ICT & Energy, 22 June 2011. Also, the platform is supported by a committee of recommendation. Participation is in principle open to all commercial, public and academic organizations that are active in this field.
