About Stichting Alkebulan
Alkebulan is a multidisciplinary network organization (community) in which creatives, with both an African (ancestry) and a Western background, have joined forces to deepen and research their African heritage. The implementation of the various collaborations will be exhibited under our platform Alkebulan.
Alkebulan is a project of a group of young creatives with roots in different parts of the African diaspora. Whether you are Afropean, Colombian, Indonesian or Afro American, we all share a desire to deepen the heritage and create a platform for our (African) culture that is often seen as ‘other’, which is now rarely seen and heard. The Alkebulan project consists of musicians, artists, writers and speakers from all over the world.
The team consists of Founders: Rudy Asibey & Naoual Mayrahkee Host: Charisa Chotoe & Awura Abena Editors: Carmen Felix, Jamaal Hussein Researcher: Ariela Osoria Roque Photographer & Content Creator: Melissa Lewis
