About Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging
The Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging is a core research facility and knowledge hub of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences, the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and Amsterdam University Medical Center.
MRI is a powerful and versatile tool for imaging the human brain, uniquely enabling non-invasive in vivo measurements of brain anatomy, function, connectivity, and metabolism. Spinoza provides ultra-sensitive MRI infrastructure and expertise to more than 400 researchers across Amsterdam and the Netherlands, supporting fundamental, cognitive, and clinical research into brain function and brain disorders.
The Centre houses a 3 Tesla MRI system and the Netherlands’ only clinically-approved ultra-high field 7 Tesla MRI scanner.
