SOAB bestaat sinds 1994 en vervult onder andere de functie van interne auditor van de regering van de voormalig Nederlandse Antillen en de bestuurscolleges van de Eilandgebieden Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius, Saba en Bonaire.
