About Skatepark Amsterdam

The Skatepark Amsterdam Foundation consists of a group of pioneers who are busy finding public locations to use as skate spots since 1988. Those places, that were not intended as skate obstacles, fitted the best in the needs of skateboarders. With this in mind we created an indoor version. This concept we have managed to achieve on an abandoned shipyard in the middle of Amsterdam. The obstacles are a direct link to the urban invironment we found during our years of skateboarding, but then inside a controlled environment.
