Simone Roodselaar (SiemArt) is a Dutch abstract painter whose work explores how inner expectation shapes the reality we experience. She builds her paintings in layers — both materially and emotionally. Each layer represents a shift: in perception, in feeling, in identity. Her work is not about representation. It is about becoming. Through intuitive movement and deliberate composition, her large-scale canvases create fields of presence that influence how a space is felt and how a viewer relates to themselves within it. Rather than depicting reality, Roodselaar reveals the potential within it.
