About Simius

Simius is a Dutch project management and consultancy firm that helps organizations bring complex change under control. Since 2007, Simius has led programmes and projects at the intersection of business, IT, security and operations — for banks, rail and industrial operators, energy-sector organizations, public bodies and municipalities. The work is typically business-critical and multi-stakeholder: infrastructure modernization and migration, IT and business continuity, cybersecurity and SOC implementation, identity and access management, and organizational change.

The approach is structured but pragmatic. Clear framing, realistic planning, active risk management and strong stakeholder alignment — with real attention to adoption and a clean handover into operations.

Simius also builds software. Compass, launching in 2026, is a macOS project management application that turns notes, risks, decisions and deliverables into a project you can steer — four views over the same work, from raw input to controlled delivery. Founded and led by Rogier Derix, an experienced programme and project manager (PRINCE2 Practitioner, CISM) with more than 20 years in complex IT and change.
