SIAS is a research group at the University of Amsterdam, housed under the Informatics Institute (IvI) and the Faculty of Science (FNWI).

At SIAS we vision is the integration of technological and social innovation, to address societal challenges. Our mission is to develop socio-technical systems that promote cooperation, interpersonal engagement, and social functioning.

We strive for social good in the form of reducing inequality, increasing equal opportunity, contribute to individual and collective liberty, and fostering systems that promote positive social change.
