SMR-groep - the Sentient Machine Research group - develops Artificial Intelligence technologies and applications since 1990 and presently consists of four companies active in different AI application areas. The group counts 20+ AI specialists with backgrounds in AI, mathematics, informatics, software engineering and psychology and is located in the center of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Sentient Information Systems B.V. Sentient delivers the DataDetective data mining software suite and provides services in the development of dedicated business intelligence and predictive analytics applications. Sentient is a specialist in forensic and spatio-temporal (GIS) data mining and Dutch police forces are among its main customers. http://www.sentient.nl/

Vicarious Perception Technologies B.V. VicarVision develops state of the art solutions for computer vision and specializes in perceiving people from video.
