Sempre Sole is an innovative IT company with a focus on speech-to-text based subtitling and indexation solutions. Subtitles are provided to hard of hearing people (transcribed subtitles) as well as translated subtitles to subtitle foreign language programs. About 10% of the western population is deaf or has a significant hearing disability and subtitles enable this group to watch and understand TV programs in their own language. The creation of subtitles is labor extensive which limits the amount of programs that are subtitled. Speeding up the creation process enables more programs to be subtitled, but also lowers the costs per subtitled program. Sempre Sole has become an expert in using technology to increase the efficiency in creating subtitles. Our solutions assist the editor but can also generate subtitles fully automatically. Audio/Video indexation retrieves a large data source on top of the more traditional sources such as documents. We provide solutions to access these unstructured data sources.
