Self Health is a start-up striving to improve the life of thousands of citizens in The Hague and around the World. Currently, the demand for healthcare is huge and rising. Hospitals and nursing homes cannot keep up with this ever-growing demand. Why is this happening?

People are enjoying increasingly longer lives and this is awesome! With this increase in age there is also an increase in medical needs due to decreased mobility, loneliness and chronic disabilities. Many are left in hospitals and nursing homes without a sense of purpose or community. Is this the life we want for our loved ones?

Companies throughout the world have aimed to tackle this challenge. This has led to the creation of many amazing E-health products which could accommodate our seniors. Further, eliminating the need for excessive care of nurses or family. But most importantly, they can remain in the most suitable environment, their own homes. Life could be enjoyed to its fullest without worries. So how has this not become a reality yet?

We at Self Health, have identified a lack of accessibility. Therefore we aim to provide easy access and training for e-health products. Our team believes no one should be left in care a care facility feeling lonely, sick and without purpose.
