School's cool Dronten helpt kinderen die dat nodig hebben bij de overgang van de basisschool naar het voortgezet onderwijs. Het kind wordt begeleid door een mentor van School's cool die wekelijks bij de leerling thuis komt. Daarbij gaat het vaak om het oefenen met zelfstandig leren, huiswerk plannen en met de agenda omgaan. De leerling kan de thuismentor ook om raad vragen, b.v. als hij/zij zich niet op zijn gemak voelt op school. De mentor kan verder de ouders ondersteunen met handvatten/tips en hulp bij de contacten met school.
