As 4 young entrepreneurs we started with a simple objective. Create a classic wristwatch that captures the class and simplicity of the original pocket watch.

The Late Pocket Watch

Our dream was to create a watch that captures the essence and style of the late pocket watch, combined with a fresh minimalistic modern touch.

This dream came forth from us being intrigued by watches and it’s rich history. We feel a watch seamlessly completes an individual’s style so we spend countless hours designing, exploring and fine tuning our classic SavUnette.

Name

Pocket watches are commonly regarded as being one of two types, the Lepine or the Savonette. ​

The Savonette is quite a special type of pocket watch with the crown typically placed at 3 and the seconds subdial at 6. Giving it a resemblance to the wristwatch we see today but making it standout in its own era. Recreating the style we have come to know from the Savonette and transforming it into a classic wristwatch we hope to create a new standout Savonette in the 21st century.​

Therefore, to give a real boost and place in history we have decided to use the name Savonette within our brand. As two young entrepreneurs from Utrecht, proud of our origin, city and country we incorporated the U from Utrecht, and SavUnette was born.

Watches with a message – Tempori Parce​

You might have noticed the phrase “Tempori Parce” on our watches. Translated it means “Save time”. For us it has a special meaning as we believe, that especially in this rather fast society, time is one of the most precious things in the world. Our whole story and creativity comes from time as we have experienced our own history, however, also read and learned about the history of others. Taking time to value what has been and what is yet to come is the message we want to share with you. ​

Incorporated in our watch and style we hope to remind you to cherish the moments that have been and especially enjoy the moments that are to come.
