About SamenLoop voor Hoop Helmond

In 2010 a small group of enthousiast took the initiative to introduce SamenLoop voor Hoop (Relay for Life) in Helmond. With a great group of volunteers a succesfull event was realized in July 2011, followed by two, once more very impressive editions in June 2013 and July 2015. In total more than 3500 people participated, a multiple of that visited the event and nearly € 220k was raised for the Dutch Cancer Society. A solid base for a 2-annual event is established; an asset for Helmond and surroundings!

SamenLoop voor Hoop (Relay for Life) is a local walking event, where teams of participants support the fight against cancer by walking during 24 hours. Survivors are given special attention, and the ones who have passed are remembered. With this inspriring event, which is fully organized by volunteers, we celebrate life, collect funds for scientific research and we provide information about cancer.
