About Robbi Syihab Photography

Short Biography: Originally, Robbi came from Indonesia before he left to The Netherlands with his family. He grew up in Dordrecht but since 2012 he has been settled in Rotterdam, the city that feels most like home. After graduating high school, he attended the Nyenrode Business University to study Accountancy dually. Subsequently, he had been working for 4 years at a successful accountant office till he found out that business was not his interests anymore. He was not able to express his creativity there and his urge to create things strengthened in time. That's when Robbi quit his job as accountant and went for his passion. From childhood, he has always been interested in visual aspects of photography and film. Therefore, he started his basic training at the Fotoacademie and also attented a course in specialization in model and portrait photography. In his first year after his graduation, he had been focusing mainly on wedding photography and taking portraits of individuals with different profiles. Additionally, he was also responsible for the photography of the book project "Soedah, Laat Maar." Currently, there is a shift in his work and interests as he is focusing more on producing film images. Robbi has started the production of his first short movie. Naturally, photography is and will always be his main focus.
