Rheintrans is your specialist in bulk goods, breakbulk and general cargo. Whether it's mineral raw materials, fertilizer, grain or natural stone, we deliver your cargo to its destination. Rheintrans is proud to be a family business that arranges transportation down to the last detail.

In 1955, P.H. Theuns founded Reederij & Transportmaatschappij Rheintrans. With our own barges we took care of inland transportation mainly from the port of Rotterdam. Later, we added seafreight and transhipment to our services. In order to help our clients better, we said goodbye to our own fleet. Now we are able to arrange a ship that best fits your cargo.

As a freight forwarder, Rheintrans offers a total package. You have a single point of contact for inland barging, chartering sea vessels, handling & storage, and road transport. All forms of transport are perfectly matched — from sea vessel into storage, from inland barges onto lorries. And do you need extra services? Whether that is supervision, sampling or (customs) documentation, we can arrange it for you.

Joint Ventures; Together with CTP CargoTransPool we offer a complete container service. We also have our own storage facility of 5,000m² in Duisburg (Germany), including modern machinery for sagging, packaging, sieving and ensiling with 195m³ silo capacity available. Our specialization? “Black” raw materials and products.
