About Refugee Academy - Institute for Societal Resilience

Issues surrounding refugee inclusion have received growing attention. Several municipalities, organisations and community initiatives experiment with innovative approaches to inclusion and societal participation of status holders. Connecting gained knowledge from scientists, policy makers, societal partners and refugees themselves is crucial for this. The Refugee Academy, an initiative of the Institute of Societal Resilience, offers a framework in which we connect academic, professional and local knowledge to bring the research and practice of refugee inclusion closer together.

The research of the Refugee Academy is focused on increasing the learning and reflective capacities of actors - coming from policy, institutions, business, NGOs and civil society - engaged in refugee inclusion. Our themes are:
