ProKris is a Small Scale Energy-efficient Sugar Refinery Technology, Enabling Local Sugar Production.

ProKris Technologies employs an innovative new process to extract sugar from a sugar-containing feedstock which is much more efficient than traditional processes. Unique about this process is that the efficiency gain results in small-scale refining costs that are comparable to large-scale refining, enabling decentralized sugar production. This eliminates the need to transport sugar beets, containing >75% water, over long distances. Furthermore, the process is suitable for a very broad range of feedstock such as sugar beets, sugar cane and waste fruit or vegetables.
