About Prepare the Way

We are a community of followers of Jesus Christ who are called to prepare people and places for the coming of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. We are living with expectant hearts, as a bride waiting and preparing for her groom, and as a soldier preparing for an upcoming campaign.

In this pioneering phase, much of what we’re building and doing together happens in and from Maranatha House. You’re most welcome to come and join!

Prepare the Way was started by Johan & Alette Verhoef. Their longing is to see Jesus glorified in Israel and the nations, ultimately leading to His return and rule from Jerusalem (Is. 62). Between them they have over 30 years of experience in prayer, worship, training, and missions in four continents – including years with the International House of Prayer (IHOP-KC) and Youth with a Mission (YwaM) – as well as pioneering various houses of prayer and other initiatives. Their educational background is in theology and business.
