About PlanetStewards Project

The PlanetStewards Project, funded by the European Research Council (ERC), is an international research programme addressing the sustainability challenges of our changing Earth-Space systems.

Led by Dr. Xiao-Shan Yap, the PlanetStewards project pushes sustainability and governance questions beyond a single planetary scale, examining how human-driven space activities impact sustainability on Earth and in space in terms of environmental integrity and justice. Using mixed-method methodologies, the project analyzes different planetary stewardship approaches and proposes recommendations for policies and governance for future Earth-Space sustainability.
