About Peel Slowly and See Festival

What started as an initiative of (the community and friends of) record store Velvet Music Leiden, is now coordinated by a collective of local programmers and organizers. This explains the distinctive broad spectrum of genres represented at the annual event. At Peel Slowly and See, the curious music enthusiast explores new horizons; from the latest, buzzing UK-jazz groups, to crackling indietronica, intriguing ethnic music, and wayward guitar bands. Nobody leaves the festival without discovering something out of their regular musical comfort zone, including the performing artists. That’s a promise.
